Pinspirations for the week.

Here we are at the start of another week! I wanted to start off sharing some of my top pin picks, what I’ve been interested in, and finding inspiration for! I’m going to start out with my sweet tooth. My daughter and I have been in sync with each other craving lemon! I’m even going to try my baking skills out on my first lemon cake for her upcoming birthday–at her request. Here are a couple recipes if you are feeling like joining me on a baking adventure this week!

When I’m not working for SGD, I am a busy homemaker and work from home mother. One of my favorite things is creating spaces for my children. I have enjoyed designing their rooms to fit their age and interest, but also be functional and flow with the style of our home, which is a bright “collected” style. If you know me personally I love bright and white, and in kids spaces this soft palette can be punched up with colorful accents.

I am dying over these paired rattan beds! Which leads me into my next favorite, daybeds. I love that these are making a comeback. I like to dress up my kids beds as a daybed so that they can be used for playing and reading throughout the day. I love the versatility for lounging and the transition into an extra spot for a guest to sleep if you have the room for it.

Looking to kithen and bathroom inspitation this week, something that has me interested currently is exposed piping. This is a more classic look, usually paired with a clawfoot tub, but i am seeing it more and more with modern take. I also love mixing metals throughout my home, and am torn between these two finishes for my top bathroom picks.

I have continued to be intrigued by the trend of two-toned cabinets. And even more so, dark lower cabinets and exposed shelving on the top. I LOVE styling and re-styling rooms and find open shelving as an everchanging blank canvas. There is something so classic and a bit edgy that keeps me searching for different combinations. Here are a couple of my favorite variations for you.
