Wednesday Rundown
If you stopped in at our lounge area at the recent Rooted event, held at the beautiful Garthered Oaks in Alexandria, MN, you could not have missed the mood boards that we brought along. They were layered with mixed materials, textures and cozy color palettes and are helping to lead our favorite listing for this week.
We’d like to start out with our top color picks for the season and Benjamin Moore’s color trends for 2019 were spot on in our inspiration. Our current favorite accent colors are blush and shades of green.
With the cooling temps, a design feature we are loving is bringing the outside in with an interior hanging chair. Of course if you don’t want to go to the trouble, you can have a natural woven/whicker bistro set in a little reading corner, but a swing would just be more fun!
The next design trend we are loving right now is dark exteriors. A rich exterior color is a great option to make your house stand out, and pairs beautifully with wood, stone and metal accents.
We love designing and styling homes, and we are currently loving arranging tile combinations for upcoming projects. A company that we recently found through social media named FIRECLAY TILE is someone to keep your eye on! They are a custom handmade tile company out of CA. They have a wide selection of styles, patterns, and colors of tile and while checking out their website, they also have a custom tile painter tool to create something unique to your own space and taste. Be sure to go check them out on Instagram and make sure to watch a couple of their hand painting videos, it is completely mesmerizing.
